Your Student's Privacy

The Internet is a really neat way to communicate because it allows you to reach people and companies around the world without actually traveling anywhere to do it! However, just as we have to be careful in the real world, we need to be aware when on the Internet.

You need to think about how much information you give and who you give information to over the Internet, just like you do in person. You wouldn’t walk up to a stranger in the park and give them your home address, email address, or phone number, right? The same rule applies on the Internet. If your student is on a website that he or she would like to give information to, have them talk to you about it first.

Planet Orange collects only limited information from kids. This information includes first name (only), grade, province, gender, your student’s astronaut name and password, and their parent's email address. This information is only collected so that your kids can access the site. We do not share the information with anyone. As Planet Orange grows, the opportunity for different levels of community features may be added. If this is the case, we will continue our commitment to protecting your students' privacy and keeping you properly informed.

If you want to learn more about how ING DIRECT protects your privacy by not sharing your information outside ING DIRECT, please visit our website and read our privacy policy.
